I see that there's a universal acceptance of not being limited by labels although I think labels can be flexible enough of use to put people morals in check and balanced. It's difficult to measure the extent that labels can be placed on people because we're all unique but at the same time you have those who don't abide by morals and ethics and feel that these things are confining, therefore they say "free will", "freedom of speech" and do whatever their heart desires regardless of the negative consequences it has on others. Having no limits on such people can be dangerous, leading to anarchy.
Good points!!! I agree with your words.
Your words remind me of the fact that REAL freedom and responsibility go hand in hand. You really can't have one without the other. Freedom is the state of being what you are without hinderance or restriction. In order to maintain this state, one must live and make choices in a way that supports and promotes the state of freedom. Additionally, one's choice cannot hinder another persons freedom. This is where responsiblity comes in.
There is a difference between freedom and "doing what you want to do." A person can do whatever they please, and still live in a restricted fashion, whether those restrictions are external or internal to the person. Also, if the results of a person's actions brings about limiting or restriction condions, then that person is not operating in freedom. I'm able to slam down cheeseburges for breakfast, lunch, and dinner because that's what "I want to do," but the resulting health problems I'll experience work against freedom.
