just because an article says not to get into what you are interested in doesnt mean you shouldnt do it. just like in psychology there is nature v nature. i feel the same about astrology. yes you have your set natal chart, however you have to factor in your enviroment your upbringing etc. that article just knows your chart, but does not know who you are and where you came from. put that into consideration when reading things.
those words like conjunction/trine/sextiles are called aspects(the relationship between two planets and the # degrees they are apart). the numbers are the degrees to which all your planets were in the day of your birth.
the major aspects: conjuntion- strong, powerful influence trine- harmonious, favorable oppostion- challenge sextile- opportunity square- stressful, obstacles
the way these terms are determined are by the degree (like how 90 is right angle, etc)
there are minior ones aslo
example in your chart- sun conjunction mercury. sun/mercury are within the same degree all the time so its always a conjunction: which means you are possibly rigid and stuck in your opinions.
mercury sextile mars brings opportunity good aspect: activie, practical, courageous, debater, 'bad' aspects: judgmental, irritated easily and may succumb to arguments.
in terms of your jupitor the position would indicate obstacles and challenges the reason why the article may have sad do not get into psychic matters is because a negative aspect of this relationship could be extremist nature. but with your understand of your sign and how you are in general you can combat any impulsiveness. the important thing is to be aware. good side of this relationship is strength and leadership
suggest looking up the relationships between these signs and discover the good and bad of each aspect.
i know before you stated you dont like to read books anymore or your dont follow everything that books state. but you seem to look into these articles/videos as truth. i think you should incorporate both styles. look at many types of books and articles. people dont just get knowledge from anywhere, they get it from somewhere. you get it from reading different opinions, your life experiences, and then you take what works for you. i recommend reading: the only astrology book you will ever need by joanna martine woolflk. i have had this book since 9th grade and i am 24 now. and its easy and a good beginners step. after i read that book i read others and from there i have acquired my own knowledge and opinions. i am not an expert, but when i read articles i know what terms they are talking about. understand the terms and you will understand your chart.
