It's not very often that I remember a happy dream. Most of them are stressful or upsetting. It was so nice to have this dream.
I think it is either a reflection of what I want or hopefully what is coming to me.

I dreamed that I submitted one of my old poems into a contest for recognition of great works. I think the poem might have even been from 12 years ago. I got a phone call telling me that my poem was in the running to win. It was between me and another person.

Then I went into a store where there were many items, but the colors that leaped out to you would tell you what kind of personality you had. So I was looking around and everything was nice. Then I looked at these blue things and the colors blue and green really popped out. They were shimmering like a peacock feather. Then I looked at this purple thing and it shimmered light purple.

After that, I went to a picnic or some outdoor gathering. I was talking with one of the ladies in charge of the contest. Then there was a big commotion and everyone was running to a spot. I looked and there was a lady on a balcony who had broken a pinata and was shaking the candies out to the people below. Then other people on the balconies (it was an apartment complex or something similar) were throwing down goodies. I caught 3 gift bags. I don't know what was inside two of them. The one I did look in contained a towel shaped into a rabbit and all sorts of cute sanrio/hello kitty type toys/items. No hello kitty but super cute japanese style things which I love.

I don't really know what all of this means, but I did look up personality types and they seem to be accurate. Only I  don't know if you can have more than one personality type. But it was such a pleasant dream. I hope it means that good things are coming.
If anyone can give some insight, it would be greatly appreciated. Smiley

seems like a nice dream. What i got from it was that you need to remember the things that used to make you happy when you were younger possibly one of these things is a life purpose. you had a poem from 12years ago in the running for a prize, in the pinata you won gift bags one with japanese cartoons, and a towel shaped as a rabbit. these are all things that a child would like. you said your dreams are usually upsetting or stressful, but when you have a  dream that reaches back into youth its happy a dream filled with happy colors(green, purple, and blue). To me you need to reach back to your youthful side and do things that truly make you happy. Whats interesting is that out of the three gifts the one you opened was the one with the japanese style things. That was the gift that you enjoyed and the gift that you were meant to open at that moment, maybe thats an indicator of something.

Thank you knix! What is funny about your statement is when you say "these are all thing that a child would like". I actually still like these things even though I am an adult. Cheesy I am into animation and draw/paint characters. Still though, I think you make a valid point about youth being a focus of the dream. I definitely have to think about it. As a child I don't think I had a particular vision that was out of the ordinary except for helping others. I've always kept that to the forefront of my life/career. Perhaps it means that it's time for a new endeavor in that direction and/or wanting to focus more on my creative side.  Thanks much!
