I have had a similar dream for the past eight years since moving into a new house, i keep dreaming that i am still at my previous house and that the lock to the front door is broken and no matter how hard i try i cant seem to get the door to stay locked. In my most recent version of this dream I dreamt that i removed the lock from the door and attempted to fix it but was unsuccessful. Anyone have any ideas what this may mean? Thanks in advance.

Maybe there is unfinished business or guilt from leaving your last home. Not being able to lock the door can mean that you dont have closure about your last home. You are attempting to fix a situation but you are not going at the problem the right way (you removed the lock, but were unsuccessful)

Its kinda of like in the dream you are trying to shut out a problem, but that problem does not want to be closed. The dream may not be necessarily about your old home, but about you trying to close out a situation and not being open about going to the root of the issue.

maybe the door is a portal to another world that you can close but not block off?
