My friend is with this girl and she going to north carolina for college and he lives in new jersey. Is there a point to even be together.  i mean to see your girl on like holidays which is possibly like 2-3 times a year and only talk on the phone.  I dont know has anyone ever had a long distance relationship before or can anyone jus leave some insight

Im doing long distance right now. But it wasnt because I went off to college its because i went off to grad school. For both of our personalities it wasnt hard. We talk on the phone, I saw him when I went home for xmas break and again in the spring. Im 24 and hes 26 so we are both kind of young, so its easy to wonder is he going off to a party with his friends and meeting other people and vice versa. However, both of us have slowed down from the party scene, i dont even like to club anymore, so I really worry about that. Somehow, I think we actually got closer since I left in August for school, because we are both open. Now im moving back home at the end of the month, and I will see if stays the same or elevates.

I think in college, it would have been harder to keep a long distance relationship. Not because I would have cheated, but in terms of I liked to party. I was always out and about doing something, so some guys may get insecure about it and think the girl is out cheating, but really shes out having a good time. I think for college you should amicably break up and then see from there what happens. You may end talking even more.. thats what happened to me. or you may meet other people that open your eyes to the many possibilities out there

Long distance def takes trust, and there will be times when you wonder. but who has time to wonder every second.

I can see how that would be hard. I tell u this.....youve really got to 100% trust. My other concern would be the infrequency of actually being together.
