Anyone use tools of divination?
« on: May 14, 2009, 10:25:10 AM »

I have been using tools of divination now for some months. I started off with angel cards, and then got into tarot cards, angel guidance board, fairy & goddess cards, and my citrine pendulum. I mainly use my tarot deck and fairy cards right now.

Life really doesn't have to be that hard! Since I have freed myself from the belief that these things are "evil" they really work for me, and I personally do not have too many extreme surprises in life now lol. Not that the excitement of surprises is taken away, I just have a better undersanding of how things are working out and what certain blocks are that I may have related to particular issue. I guess we all just have to do what works for us individually.

For instance, last year, I had this strange rash that broke out under my arms for a while out of the blue as I was in my very early transformation stage, I was using every natural deodorant and homemade concoction I found possible to clear it up but nothing worked. So I consulted my tarot cards (higher self) about the issue. The cards I had drawn led me to an understanding that I was still holding on to some old beliefs and not fully expessing my true self (as well as metaphysically--to me-- underarms relating to clutching on to something). So I started releasing old, stale beliefs and just being myself more no matter what people thought, especially since they don't even know how to be themselves! Kid you not, the rash cleared up shortly after, no special products needed.

I really want to get more into understanding my tarot deck and the great amount of symbolism that is shown on them, so that I automatically understand them when doing a reading for myself, then I can start doing readings for others if they so choose. I  am still somewhat of a beginner and have a book to guide me now in understanding the symbols and numbers at the present moment. I am learning though and having a ball with it!

All that to say they are helpful tools in many many ways. It is all within but these tools just help to bring it out.

Anyone here use any of these tools or others? If so, what has your experience been like?

Tarot details the fool's journey as astrology details the Sun's (Soul's) journey through the 12 archetypes.

Divination totally changed my life and that's why I am so open about the Occult!

I have damn near every divination tool - wands, pendulums galore, crystals, divination card decks (incl. Tarot), angel boards, I Ching sets, Chinese fortune sticks, Rune stones, etc.

I even make and perform my own divination. For example, I can take paper and cut it into little squares (about 20 or 24 pieces) and write YES on half and NO on the other half. I mix them up, turn them face down, ask a question, and then select one! It's amazing how divination picks up on your vibration. Divination only gives you a reading (probable outcome) based upon your PRESENT vibration. That's why when you change the vibration you change the probable outcome!

I'm a Divine for life!

Okay didn't think of crystals being in that category. I want to get into rune stones next too. I saw a set at this metaphysical store when I was i Florida a couple of months ago.

Never heard of Chinese Fortune sticks, gonna look into that sometime. How does that work?

Yeah a guy at our little metaphysics store was showing me how to make my own divination tool with small shells. I think he said it was like an african type of origin, can't remember exactly.  He was also talking about making them the same way you do with the paper yes/no responses.

Interesting...

FEFE-- I know that with the angel guidance board, before you star using it you say an affirmation "Like any divination device, the Angel Guidance Board is a sensitive tool that absorbs energy. So, your first step will be to clear the board and its components of energy that they may have acquired during manufacturing and shipping:

"I ask you to clear this board and its components of any old energy. Please infuse the board, this booklet, the crystal dice, and markers with pure divine love and life. I ask that all readings I conduct with this board be accurate, specific, and bring blessing for everyone involved. please help me to clearly hear, and accept the divine answers as they come to me through this board and through my feelings, thoughts, words, and visions. thank you"

she then goes on to say you should cleanse the board every now again, when u feel the readings are unclear. and also cleanse it after others handle it.

I think the board came with a protection booklet because: If you are going to call on spirits you never know what will enter that doorway that you open. not protect like they can kill you (dont quote me) but protect so that energy doesnt enter you home and state of being.

I have used the following tools of divination:
*myself as a human pendulum- i learned this from my energy medicine book. i can use it without anything in my hand or I would pick up an object if it was good for me i leaned forward, if it was bad for me i leaned back.
* the doreen virtue angel guidance board- ive used it a few times, and keep a journal handy
* tarot cards- im average with tarot cards, i think the deck i have i dont like, i need a new pack
* crystal cards- i used once it was pretty cool, shuffle the deck  while thinking of a question. then you pull out cards and it means something
* my astrology charts- my natal chart is me, so its good to have handy and know yourself through astrology
* my dreams-- i have alot of dreams, but i dont like to interpret my own all the time unless it really stands out (i dont know why, i think bc im lazy). but if i have a deam about someone else i interpret it and tell them.
* my insight/random thoughts- sometimes i just randomly think stuff and i have to tell a specific person what i thought or call them and make conversation
* palm reading- i used to be into reading peoples palms, but I stopped. people ask to many questions and i dont know the answers

Yeah I was reading that about using yourself that way as a human pendulum in the Energy book as well....haven't tried it yet. She has so many suggestions in there.

What tarot deck do you have? I made that mistake with the 1st deck that I purchased. The symbolism and pictures were way too advanced for me as a beginner. I then purchased the Universal Waite deck.

What are crystal cards? I haven't heard of those.

I randomly (not really I guess) purchased a Runes set on yesterday. Very interesting. Gonna work with them some more tomorrow.

the tarot deck is some random tarot giftset from a bookstore. it doesnt have a  specific name. Its to new looking for me. I like the old school looking tarot cards that look worn and scary lol.  I will need to go find a new deck that calls out my name

the crystal deck i got from barnes and noble I found randomly while roaming the sales section. its called The Crystal Deck by Amanda samson. you shuffle the cards on a silk sheet while clearing your thoughts. if a card drops out, it prob has meaning for you. after you are done shuffling, you pick up a card. that card will have a  picture of a crystal, a description, keywords about that stone, its healing mechanisms, and divinatory meaning. its pretty cool.

the first time i used it, i thought about how do i need to get in shape. and the card i pulled was a crystal that would aid in that situation. it was kinda cool

I just recently did my first tarot reading, and it was amazingly accurate! I bought the Motherpeace Round Tarot Deck. Yes, the cards are round. I thought that was so cool! From the accompanying guidebook, "The Motherpeace Tarot deck images are gathered from ancient goddess cultures and other earth-based people...." from around the world. That's what drew my attention. Plus with the cards being round they have different interpretations depending on the orientation. And it was so on point!

I also have a pendulum and many of the other tools mentioned that I didn't even consider!

im on my search for a new deck myself. so i cant really answer that... but maybe a good metaphysics store and getting a card that you are drawn to.

however, in terms of reading tarot cards. i booklet should come with the deck or you can purchase books that discuss different layouts,  what each card symbolizes when face upright and reversed, and also what each card means when positioned with other cards.

its pretty interesting stuff, but in the beginning takes practice. i messed up a few times when positioning the cards in certain layouts

The Motherpeace deck is very interesting! It resonates so clearly.

There was a metaphysical fair in MD a few months back. I think I posted the info here? Anyway a guy had a booth demonstrating the use of the pendulums. I looked through his selection and there was a rose quartz pendulum that I took to. So I bought it. I haven't used it too much though. I'm always worried about my movement, and the more I try to keep still the more I move! lol

divination tools...everything in the universe including females

also I Ching!!!!!!

my last 2 I Ching divinations......go a little sumthing like this

the day after eye ended the F-Bee-Dizzle and hit the vegan junk food waaaay to hard...lol

"36th hexigram earth over fire

4) Fourth Six

Entering the left belly,

Knowing the heart of the injured brilliance.

Quit the dwelling place."

then the beginning of this month

"earth over earth

The Receptive brings about sublime success,
Furthering through the perseverance of a mare.
If the superior man undertakes something and tries to lead,
He goes astray;
But if he follows, he finds guidance.
It is favorable to find friends in the west and south,
To forego friends in the EAST and NORTH.
Quiet perseverance brings good fortune."
