ME and my partna was talking about this movie. I was like I'm feeling it, just the action, showing the tribe in the begining how they all connected, but on the other hand my partna was like he watched it and was thinking "okay how much time is left in this movie"  I loved the ending how they were chasing him and all of sudden they just stopped..and you seen the spanish arriving on boats with crosses. The building with the elders, and how he had to warrior up in the end.  It was like you know what happened next.   But from my partnas point of view he felt that Mel Gibson was making it like..  Hell, they were already butchering each other up it justified them coming and just taking the spot over.  I can see that too.

I didn't like the way the other men picked on this one guy in the beginning, especially because he didn't have any children yet. Plus, why did the old woman have to humiliate him by telling him to put that red substance on his jimmy? Even embarrassed the wife, too.

I took the begining as showing the down to earth side of how brothers may pick or act up with each other in any family. lol the jimmy part was halarious. It was his father that told him to do that right after they had him eat the hog balls. He was like that's the reason he has 10 sons. Dude was about to eat it and he stopped him, like No wait and rub it on thorougly right before..

I have to say i liked this waay better than 10,000,000 BC.

I LOVE this movie!

I have always love the PreCOlumbiam time period in history and this movie brought all my thoughts to vision.
I felt like I was in the movie and that everything was occuring at that point in time. The costumes were excellent, the visual effects. My fav part was the chance through the forest and when the Jaguar appeared.

I think in some parts of the world back in the day (way back) a man not being able to produce a child was looked down upon. continuing the family name and legacy was big. I think its still that way now, but not at such a large extent. But, im sure those without children have grandparents that insist on having a grandchild. Maybe, its our natural instincts to reproduce and continue human existance.

lol ahh i thought i was alone for a minute. My partna be like the movie was horrible.

I love the beginning era also, how they all just connected with spirit.

my favorite part of the movie was when Jagaur paw was being chased..and he was tired of running  he stopped
said
Resting fathers.....FLY ME YOUR STRENGTH"    I love it

Also when they were held captive..and  being taken across the river and the young kids were crying..and the oldest young girl cried out.. saying " don't worry.. I'll take care of theeem.. THEY ARE MINE NOW!!!!"  so much power in that..

The other part was like i stated before at the end..when they were chasing him..and all of sudden they just stopped.. Then they seen boats..just arriving... Like imagine being in that situation...  they just haulted hunting him, his father was decased and their leader was dead...what else could happen. Wipe out!.

mel Gibbon is notoriously known for giving exaggerated versions of the truth when it comes to history and he also has a major bias towards all indigenous people.

I gave the movie 3 stars for cinemetography even though it wasn't all that great.

Of course it was better than 10,000 B.C.!!!! that movie was fulla crap and made absolutely no logical flow of sense out of the chaotic BS the movie makers tried to call a storyline.

that was the vibe I got from it, plus if someone didnt know anything about the natives were to watch the movie they might just think ok a bunch  of naked savages in the jungles killing each other. wasnt feeling that
