Hey y'all dhebbers. Right now I'm currenctly reading this book by Dr. Muata Ashby entitled The Limits of Faith (The Failure of Faith-Based Religions And The True Solution To The Meaning Of Life). It is a collection of essays by Dr. Ashby. From what I've read so far, I read up on the history of religions during Antiquity and how Judaism, a branch of Zoroastrianism, Chrisitianity, and Islam were founded by people under extreme pressures of degradation such by the Roman Empire. The dogmatic views of these religions have only done more harm than good. One essay deals with religious hegemony under Judaism in terms of its ties with Passover. He also touches on current events or issues relating to modern times (this book was published in 2006 though) such as the Far Right and Neo-Conservative movement and how this groups (Christian) put down other religions of mystical origin, particularly Islam, and religions such as Hinduism, Buddhism, Daoism, African Religious systems that they can over see on the surface as "polytheistic rubbish. After this book, I'm going to read The Dollar Crisis and then The Collapse of Civilization both by Dr. Ashby. I also read his translation of the Egyptian Book of the Dead and his gloss on all of the scriptures and his glosses were really deep and really helped me in changing, evolving, and elevating my perceptive on things that occur in my daily life.
