If so how was it?  CNN media coverage seemed a bit biased.

I drove by one in my area I think they were just picketing and getting people to honk in support.

I parked in a parking lot across the street from the one in my area to go to the post office.  It wasn't a tea party; it was an anti-Obama protest.

There were people on the side of the road holding up signs with things on them that were critical of Obama.  Also, I counted no less than 6 confederate flags.  I didn't see a non-white person in the bunch.

The local news said it was about a thousand people there.  It looked like it too.

They had a stage with a podium on it with speakers talking against the stimulus package, leading the crowd in anti-Obama chants.  It was kind of crazy.

I think most of the tea parties around the country were really white power rallies.

I agree,I believe they were recruitment rallies for the fringe milita type right wingers to bridge the gap with your average everday republicans. I know this is only the beginning though, I truly hope whatever ambitions these people have though fizzles out before anybody gets hurt. I also find it interesting that these supposed fredom fighters were silent when it became legit to wiretap everybody, and when people were being shipped off to Cuba without a trial, but it is what it is.

http://restoretherepublic.com/

many of the tea parties were organized by Restore the Republic out of Illinois... they seem to be an ok group.. at least in their publications.. they really detail issues with the IRS and the FED Reserve.. Very much against the central bank cartel... as well all should be.  two great books to get are "web of debt" and "creature from jeckyl island"  if you read these tow books you are really go to go on the subject of the federal reserve and the IRS.  any way... senator Ron Paul is trying to get a bill pass to audit the fed and that is what they are pushing... unfortunately the old divide and conquer thing is at work.. they have no reason to be mad at Obama.... he makes no decisions any way... really they know good and well his controllers are the Fed reserve any way.....being mad at the black man detracts from the real issue.. the ones that corrupted the country look just like the white men protesting....
