If this bill passes, it would mean citizens will be unable to grow gardens in our own backyard without government intervention.  If you are concerned about availability of organic pesticide free food, or the supply of food in general well you should be aware of the latest push by Monsanto to prevent private gardens.  Wow.  Hmmm why is the government so interested in folks growing tomatoes, fruits and vegetables I wonder?

Looks like Monsanto is looking to push its terminator seed technology through the syringe of Congress. My question is:

What political officials from the South and other agrarian areas will fight the bill?

I just saw on CNN that Michele Obama is growing an organic garden and everyone is going to be eating organic food at the white house. Any left over goes to the homeless. They showed her planting and digging and they called it a victory garden. Eleanor roosevelt was the last to have a garden like that at the white house.

Will they lose the white house  Wink

I live in the south and and I own land which I rent out yearly for farming.  I don't know if these Southern farmers really know what's going on.  I don't know if this mess Monsanto is trying to push has been on the evening news, but it has been all over the internet.  If they don't know, I'll get the word out to them and tell them where to go to sign the petition.  I don't know if they handle their business manually or through the use of computers, because the man who rents from me still deals with checks and he had to wait until he got his bank statement to see if a check cleared because he sent it to the wrong address.  He lives in a rural area, and apparently he don't deal too much with computers.

Great! I can't get to the petition. I clicked on it and the page is unavailable. Do you know where else I can look to sign the petition? I think I'll copy and paste the site and search it.

I just went and signed it through the Dherbs website. It's on the homepage or http://salsa.democracyinaction.org/o/568/t/1128/campaign.jsp?campaign_KEY=26714
