My favorite musician(s).  Habib Koité & Bamada.  Out of Mali.  The music is very calm and serene, and kind of a fusion of traditional Malian music and some modern, "foreign" sounds.  Habib is nice with the acoustic geetar.  Great stuff.  I can't get enuff of it.  Any album will do.

Wow thx! I really enjoyed that. Music from Mali is always beautiful sounding, I love the way Toumani Diabate plays the kora ..it sounds like 10 instruments in one.

Wow! Thank you too.  I'm almost ashamed that I didn't know about Toumani Diabate.  Great stuff... I'm gonna cop this.  Music from Mali is the greatest.  There's a big event or series of concerts there every year called Festival au Desert.  I'd like to go to someday.

Yesterday on the radio, I learned that Toumani Diabate is giving a concert here in Cincinnati!

I am glad that I was just reading through the music section to get some new music to listen to...during the past week or so, I have listened to most of the suggestions listed, and found many new "favorite" artists.
