okay i have this raw food cookbook. most of the food is cooked its just not cooked over 118 degrees.

is that really considered raw?

Yes, it is considered raw, it has just been dehydrated.

I guess you could, I did not know that ovens had those low temperature settings such as that.

Getting a dehydrator would be a much better option though.  One thing is if  your truly going to eat a lot of raw foods then getting an Excalibur dehydrator would be a good choice.  I got a basic dehydrator from nesco and It's good because I rarely use it.  When I do use it I usually dehydrate overnight and then the thing Im dehydrating usually isn't done so I have to flip the food over and dry the other side.
