I just saw a youtube video I might be late where now that all US grown almonds have to be pasteurized prior to being sold. I just bought some almonds from whole foods thinking they're raw but now they're not.  Guess I'll just order mines from livingnutz.com.  I think Im going to just order builk stuff like nutz, dates and other stuff online.  These militant heads trying to control the damn nutz too?!

livingnutz.com
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0eQI4Xk9qQE  Thats the owner of the site speaking about it.
Edit  http://rawfromthefarm.com/SunDriedFruits.aspx Another good site to order nuts and fruits.  I think Im going to just order things online now, its cheaper and I don't feel rushed as I usually rush to get what i want since I usually shop at whole foods during my job break.

No wonder why when I soaked some almonds overnight the next morning they weren't that "almondy" to me idk but they didn't seem to different than they way they're espoused to be better when soaked.  Im about to order some dates and almonds and then try soaking them and making almond milk and see the difference.  I heard the almond are treated with proplyene oxide a known carcinogen.

I actually never thought about what they eat.  Or how about what they use when they're detoxing?  You think they've detoxed before?

Greetings Dherbs fam,

In regards to pasteurized almonds (which did upset me when I first) I have two comments:

1. Since all almonds in this country are pasteurized (cooked), I would recommend buying organic almonds/organic almond milk.  Organic almonds have to be steam pasteurized which I feel is healthier than the process used for inorganically farmed almonds which are pasteurized (cooked) with propylene oxide which is a known carcinogen (according to the FDA) even if there labeled raw ("Raw" almonds did not exist in this country anymore, it is a misleading label).

2. This is a great opportunity!! The FDA cannot prevent unpasteurized organic almonds from being sold or consumed here but they can prevent them from being grown here. The FDA/gov't can never prevent one from consuming a Biblically ordained diet (fruits and vegetables, nut, seeds ,etc) nor can they ever prevent one from using herbs for healing/health as that would violate one 1st Amendment's rights.  The Bible also specifically mentions almonds along with pistachios and date syrup (honey) as some of the best fruits in Genesis 43:11 (These are all some of my personal favs). Besides that, do almonds originally come from America?  Were the raw organic unpasteurized almonds previously consumed here in America close to the heirloom varieties?  Almonds originate in North Africa, West Asia (Middle East) and the Mediterranean.  Almonds were brought to America by Spanish "missionaries" and now Cali is the biggest producer.  However, all almonds available in this country are hybrid.  Now, most of your unpasteurized organic almonds are coming from where they originally grow and they are a lot closer to the heirloom (non-hybrid) almond varieties.  I also heard that these almonds taste better with a strong almond flavor similar to almond extract (I used to love using almond extract in cooking). Basically we have non-hybrid fruit seeds (nuts) now available due to the gov't closing down the supply of "raw" almonds.  To me, this confirms with every so-called negative situation (gov't tyranny on almonds) can come a positive if the people are open to it but of course we the people know by now that we are responsible for gov't tyranny dont we? Just my take. Peace
