If the behavior of the Bush Administration,
and, indeed the behavior of the US government
since WW II in general, seems "Un-American"
there's a good reason for it.
Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, and the Bushes
have all had friendly relations with prominent
"ex-Nazis." Ronald Reagan went so far as to
lay a wreath at a cemetery for SS troops
in a Germany while president (Yes, it really
happened. Look it up.)
Most informed people realize that George Bush Sr.
ran the so called "secret government" during the
Reagan administration. Fewer realize that
Richard Nixon, politician, was the creation of
Prescott Bush (and Jack Ruby worked for Richard
Nixon's early California campaigns, but that's
another story!)
Unlike Nixon and Reagan who merely had
"ex-Nazis" in their inner circle, the Bush
family actually worked closely with Nazi
leaders before, during and after World War II.
Why Prescott Bush, George Bush Sr's father and
Jr's grandfather, was never tried for treason
is one of the great unsolved mysteries of
American history:
