I was wondering if anybody was up on the Master Key System by Charles F. Haanel. I first stumbled on this treasure after checking out some of the references quoted in the movie The Secret. When I bought and read it, I was amazed to find that the first 4 parts (the book has 24 parts), covered 99% of everything in The Secret, only in more detail and with better logic. I was even more amazed that the book was first published in 1912. Now here's a book, almost 100 years old, that for as far as I can see, contains 99% of the ideas and techniques that have developed into a new way of thinking for millions of people across the country and the world.
But another thing that I have noticed is that of out of all of the new age material I come across, which is more than I can read, only a few mention The Master Key System. And again; with a lot of the new material I read, I can go back to The Master Key System and find the exact same material, but in my opinion presented in a much more clear, logical, and inspirational way, just 100 years earlier.
Now I'm not knocking anybody's work or material, because I'm sure The Master Key System got much of its ideas from ancient African and Eastern philosophies. I'm just wondering why it doesn't receive more credit when it looks like its the earliest American or Western translation and presentation of these ideas. Maybe because its public domain and there isn't much money potential with it.
Either way, I highly recommend it.
