Many people have emailed me about the 20/20 news program on TV a few nights ago portraying raw vegans as crazy emaciated orthorexics. Forgive me taking a while to respond - we were in the middle of a wonderful core group gathering that was hugely exciting and fun! - planning our raw vegan eco village...Nevertheless, sitting here at last burning the midnight oil, I have put up my feelings about this program, on my new Raw Food Diet and Orthorexia Nervosa FAQ page! It is my rebuttle to this direct attack on raw foods!

http://www.thegardendiet.com/orthorexia.html - Feel free to pass this important information on!

I also just made a page of gorgeous raw foodists. I've been meaning to do this for so long, but this program pushed me to finally start it. - many more photos to come when I have more time. I also put up a little page of raw before and afters. The whole thing starts at the link above, where I also link to the 20/20 show online!

In Joy!

Good laugh man, gotta love the Matrix, take emotionally unstable people and label the health food diet as unstable. Man I was laughing during the whole video.  On the real though, people said I looked unhealthy when I was detoxing my body, I lost about 125 pounds (about 35 pounds) but I gained it back to my normal weight.  Folks still think I am skinny even though I only weigh about 160 pounds at 6"0. (which I guess is skinny now). We live in such a big culture these days that anyone who is not big (overrweight) is considered to be too thin or unhealthy or better yet have AIDS, OH NO!!  This fear based propaganda in the Matrix works like a charm but it sure is funny!! LOL

Man people are hilarious.  They LOVE to make misery out a person and then say ALL people are like that. I know plenty meat eaters who look anorexic and they aren't never mentioned.  People just stuck with that protein crap.

i used to eat only raw
then i became vegan
then a vegetarian
then started eating dairy products
then started eating fish
My family seemed to be on a straight up decline dietwise
But I have decided to float my own boat and do not eat dairy or fish anymore.

But to my point

before i started eating fish and dairy, honestly, I was skinny and weak.
After introducing dairy to my diet I began getting chubby
and then after introducing fish I became more muscular and strong.

I know now however after I have sat back and evaluated my situation, that in reality there were many factors to my size besides diet

I was weak and skinny before because of lack of variety dietwise and exercise
When I started getting bigger it was due to martial arts practice, and growing older (puberty)

So this idea that vegetarians are skinny is not so true.

There are some very fat and muscular and skinny and everything in between people that are raw foodists and don't even like to look at tennis shoes because they are mad from leather (animal hide).

My drama teacher in school seriously weighed like 200 hundred punds and he was a vegetarian. only he started out on meat.
but he had been a vegetarian for 2 years according to him.

So yea diet is only one factor in size. you have to take in exercise and stuff too. the extar weight will be muscle and a little fat.

This is such a joke.  I don't know why but I got so mad when I saw this. Angry  Hmph..just like the media to do something like this.

Can we say codex alimentarius?  Probably just another form of mind con-trol to denounce naturally healing foods.  Just my 15 cents. Wink

Don't believe that hype, itz a sequel. They just using a bigger platform for the thesis-antithesis, making their side look like they're right in their 'matrix' assumptions..There's a proverb from the mother continent that states: If You Eat Too much, You Will Die By The Mouth..Isn't there an obesity problem now?
