Peace ZX, from my perspective I wouldn't say that one is better than the other but it all depends on ones circumstances.
In our glorious past polygyny meant wealth and abundance, as also fertility in women to producing alot children was great honor and considered wealth to carry on the name.

In my opinion man by nature is not monogamist, but monogamy as a law is a western construct, and there has always been plural marriages in the east but hell there are plural relations going on right now in the good ole U.S. but mainly do to dissatisfaction and for sex alone. The west has the highest divorce rate in the world, the most prostitutes, strip clubs, porn addiction,orphans, widows, single women, single family households, not counting men in jail, men thats gay, men on drugs, brothers thats at war dying young killing eachother in the streets, this leave us with a considerable amount of women who may never be able to marry do to the ratio, but not only that, nature always produce more female than males in every species and we are not any different.

So in my opinion polygyny could be a way to curve this epidemic and bring balance to our community not saying it should be law but it shouldn't be taboo either if one was practicing it.

The main concern of most people when you mention divine marriage is sex and STDs but if a said person is in a holistic plural marriage and is faithful how can one attract STDs. You not sleeping around lying and cheating you are faithful in a committed relationship.

The satisfaction part, well its pros and cons in marriages period. But it depends on what you talking about, because that way of life will put a father in the home and that is one of the main problems that we facing with our youths, no fathers.  It could possibly bring another income in the home which will be good in todays time, and also leaving a parent present at all times not going to expensive babysitters and what not. For the women you will have a sister to confine in, help with rearing children, chores, cooking etc. but maybe we just to focus on sex or maybe the saying is true that black women just cant get along,

If one was to do it, it has to be up to the women to make it wholesome, so it all boils down to the sisterhood and the first wife should do some carefully screening to make sure one is compatible.  Peace!

Well said sun god.  My personal opinion is to each its own.  here's a couple of videos by the god720 on his take on polygamy.  He makes some interesting points especially about sisterhood amongst black females.  I walk down the street and I smile and say hello to other females and they look at me like I'm crazy for spreading love their way.  Sisterhood is definitely lacking in our community, we need to start living our purpose and get concerned with self, so we won't have to hate on each other

That polygamy and polygyny stuff will not work with the majority of Westerners. We are too diseased spiritually, mentally, emotionally, etc. We are too sexually ego-driven as well. These lifestyles will never work in the Western world because sex is too powerful number one, ego is difficult to regulate number two, and the average little common man won't have the necessary money to provide for his multiple wives.

If anything, multiple men (husbands) taking care of one woman may work, but one man taking care of multiple wives will not work unless his money game is tight.

This brotha is all over the place. First, he advocates polygamy b/c it goes against the grain. We're supposed to do everything that whyt people don't do. And vice versa. Then he says 'this is america, everybody works'!!!! WTF? Then his wife walks in with a badge on her hip clearly working for some corporation. He's working the graveyard shift, for another corporation.

Then he throws homosexuality all up in the mix, like polygamy will cure that. Like homosexuality will be the decline in the black population. Black people will pump out babies as long as sex exists, with or without polygamy. Hell, I know three chicks that just had babies, and two more are pregnant.

He purports to be concious, but he says he's angry when he fux. He fux a woman like he's mad at the female gender, and they love it. Seriously.

There are a few other contradictions, but my whole point is the brotha does not have his shit together, but he wants to sow his royal oats already. If you're going to practice polygamy, you need to have your shit straight already, imho.
