11 Year Old Needs Help After Being Diagnosed with a Viral Infection

Hi Dherty,

I just ordered the children's detox and immune booster for my 11 year old son. Back in March 2008 he came down with a viral infection which was diagnosed by the pedatrician (who had us try tussein).  He went from having a constant cough (every 6 to 8 seconds over a 40 day period) to having a vocal tic.  My son now says that his stomach has pain.  My peditrician had us going from seeing an allergist (who had him try albuterol/plus a steroid called singulair) to seeing a ear, nose and throat doctor (who had us try pepacid) because he said his throat was a little sore and his adenoids were swollen).  Of course none of this made him better over the 2 months.  So my husband and I started to go to the health stores and got the natural cough formulas, etc.  My son is also suffering from growing pains in his legs which now he crawls around the house and we have to help him around.  We took him to the emergency room last week to see if they could find something and they took about 6 vials of blood to do different tests, urine test and monitored his heart.  The test came back negative and they had a team (of 4) neurologists come and do some tests (such as having him press against them using his arms and legs).  At the end of this day and a half of not sleeping we were told we could go home.  The neurologists told us since they could not find anything that maybe we should see a psychologist.  I am glad the blood test showed nothing but we are done with these doctors.  I have found when doctors and find and answer they just keep passing you around.  Believe me my son is not faking this.  We have to put him on the toilet, help him get into the bath.  Have him grab on to us to get him up the stairs.  This has been since March and now it is going on June.

I am hoping that the detox will help him to clear his system of toxins that may have built up.  Have you had any other people write in with symptoms such as this for their child?

Man, dealing with hospitals and doctors ain't no joke! I haven't been to the doctor since 1996 and the dentist since 1994. And Lord knows i don't miss em'.
