Are You Clogging Up Your Pores?
By DHERBS.COM | February 12, 2008

I bet that most of us today have some type of petroleum based products in our house. From lip balm, make-up, and baby products. Many Americans use mineral oil in some shape or form on a daily basis. But do you realize that this stuff is clogging up your pores and causing more damage in the long run?
Mineral oil clogs up the pores and suffocates the skin. Our skin is a breathing organ and shouldn’t be covered up with mineral oil. Thankfully there are alternatives to this stuff:
Natural Alternative to Mineral Oil
Always remember that ideally, you should be able to eat or consume everything you put on your body. This means that what you put on your body (for hygiene or beauty purposes) should be edible. You should be able to eat it. Using this premise, Mineral Oil is out! It is not edible! It is not a food.
Replace Mineral Oil with natural oils that are derived from foods, i.e. olive oil, almond oil, wheat germ oil, grape seed oil, sunflower seed oil, rose hip seed oil, apricot kernel oil, jojoba, and/or coconut oil to name a few. These oils derive from FOODS!
These oils are far better and salubrious for you than Mineral Oil. They are good for hair care and skin care.
The best natural oils for the skin are: jojoba, rose hip seed, olive, coconut, and grape seed. Beware of Vitamin E oil as Nature has never produced a Vitamin E plant and since there is no Vitamin E plant, there can be no Vitamin E seed in which to derive Vitamin E oil. So where is Vitamin E oil derived from? Answer: SOY OIL (which is an industrial product and commonly used for magazine paper gloss)!
The best natural botanical oils for the hair are: jojoba, coconut, and olive.
If you want to use a very good, safe, and therapeutic oil on your body or your child(ren) or baby’s body, I highly recommend Dherbs.Com ‘Oz-Oil.’ No other oil works like it! It’s one of our best selling products. It is great for all skin disorders including herpes, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis and acne.
