What is Bacterial Vaginosis?

Bacterial vaginosis is medically defined as: “a chronic inflammation of the vagina caused by a bacterium, Gardnerella vaginalis. [Greek, bacterion meaning "small staff; Latin, vagina, meaning "sheath," and Greek, Osis, meaning "condition] SOURCE: Mosby’s Medical Dictionary, Fifth Edition (1998), pg. 164

Bacterial vaginosis is basically chronic “vaginitis” that is accompanied by a very foul smelling discharge.

Okay, let’s break matters down. What is “vaginitis?”

Vaginitis: “an inflammation of the vaginal tissues, such as trichomonas vaginitis. SOURCE: Mosby’s Medical Dictionary, Third Edition (1990), pg. 1221

And, what is inflammation? Inflammation is basically a burning sensation that results from acute acidosis. Inflammation’s cardinal signs are redness (rubor), heat (calor), swelling (tumor), and pain (dolor), accompanied by loss of function. Mosby’s supra.

Basically, the vagina is inflamed (on fire) due to excess acid (acidosis). The vagina has become too acidic.

Now clearly poor diet plays a role in disease, and in female reproductive diseases, the culprits are usually the same ? dairy products (cheese, ice cream, sour cream, butter, and yogurt); animal flesh/meat (pork, chicken, turkey, fish, lamb, beef, and seafood); refined grains (pastries ? donuts, cookies, cakes; bagels, bread, crackers, etc.); refined starches (potato chips, French fries, etc.) in addition to sugar, salt, chemical preservatives, and a host of other harmful products.

A sufferer of bacterial vaginosis should fast for a day or two, followed by modifying the diet (raw foods provisionally and then after relief or healing, subsequently strict vegan). Vegetable juice should be consumed daily and should contain parsley, cilantro, garlic, and ginger in addition to other green veggies. The less cooked foods the better!

Drink plenty of water and make sure to add liquid oxygen drops and/or liquid chlorophyll.

Do not wear tight clothing! Tight clothing, especially tight pants, chokes the vagina and prevents it from breathing. The vagina is a breathing orifice by nature and needs oxygen. Lack of oxygen causes anaerobia.

Bathe daily in hot water, seas salt (1-2 boxes), essential oils of Tea Tree, Ravensare, Manuka, Leleshwa, Thyme, and Cedar wood. Thyme and Cedar wood greatly counteract itching. These oils are contained in Dherbs Vaginoil formula that you can drop into your bath or douche water (if you believe in douching to expedite relief of the acute itching).

I don’t recommend douching as douching upsets the natural pH balance of the vagina. The vagina is an intelligent orifice and automatically cleanses itself. However, many women tell me the itching is unbearable and choose to douche for relief and I can understand this decision. However, if you choose to douche, the solution should be all herbal and consisting of the following herbs: Red Raspberry Leaf, Thyme, Goldenseal, Echinacea, White Oak Bark, Buchu, Black Walnut Hulls, and Mullein leaf.

In addition to the foregoing herbs, a woman could also use 35% food grade hydrogen peroxide (half an ounce), liquid oxygen drops, liquid chlorophyll, and/or extracts of Neem and/or Calophyllum Inophyllum (3-5 drops each) in her douche solution.

I would highly recommend any woman suffering from bacterial vaginosis to perform the Dherbs.Com Full Body Detox followed by the Total Woman Cleanse. These regimens should be followed up with the following Dherbs.Com herbal formulations for purposes of daily maintenance: Yoni Formula (3 capsules), Moon Cycle Formula (3 capsules), Female Hormonal Formula (3 capsules), and Bowel Mover Formula (2-3 capsules).

The single most important Dherbs.Com formula to take after a bout of bacterial vaginosis is the Yoni Formula as this formula was designed to address all vaginal disorders and conditions including bacterial vaginosis.

    Hi there,

I had bv for a long time…n it was really bad…..but i am extremely happy to say that now its been completely cured… as i had read in a lot of articles that yogurt, curd, buttermilk contain probiotics that help body regain its natural microbial flora, I increased my daily buttermilk intake…thus, i recommend a glass of buttermilk, per day for getting rid of bv….

If you do not get ready buttermilk, you just have to take two spoons of yogurt, mix well and add drinking water to make a glass full of buttermilk..

This is really an effective way, rather than taking tablets and other medications.
