Iron

Iron is a trace element that is essential for human health, especially female health since so much of the element is lost due to the monthly menstrual cycle that causes valuable nutrients to exit the female body when this act occurs.

Iron-deficiency anemia, an adverse condition most commonly associated with severe shortage of this particular element was described by ancient Kemetic physicists as long ago as 1,500 B.C.

Iron is present in our bodies as hemoglobin, which is the red pigment of blood. It is also present in myoglobin (the form of hemoglobin found in muscle tissue).

Iron is required for the following: muscle protein (and is stored in the liver, spleen, bone-marrow, and muscles), improving physical performance, preventing learning problems in children, boosting energy levels, essential for enzymes (including catalase), and boosting the defense ("immune") system.

Iron is the mineral found in largest amounts in human blood. Deficiency of this mineral is caused by insufficient intake of it via diet. For females, in addition to insufficient intake of the mineral, it is also caused by excessive menstrual bleeding - if there is blood loss, there is loss of iron.

Did you know that strenuous exercise also depletes the body of iron? It most certainly does. This is why I recommend that females perform subtle exercises, e.g. yoga, Tai chi, Qi Chong, pilates, etc. instead of more rigorous and strenuous types of exercises.

Females who perform rigorous and strenuous exercises damage the integrity of the female reproductive system and its glands and organs and can create internal imbalance, especially on the levels of hormones.

Constant strenuous exercise (commonly performed by males) performed by females will cause a decrease in the production of female hormones (progesterone and estrogen) and on the flip side, cause an increase in male hormones (testosterone and androsterone).

For maximum absorption of Iron, the following nutrients are essential: Vitamin A and C, Copper, b-vitamins, Manganese, and Molydenum.

Symptoms of iron-deficiency include: anemia, pallor, breathlessness, insomnia, tiredness, palpitations, feeling cold (common complaint of females who suffer from anemia); seeing stars or little specks (especially after feeling dizzy and/or when bending down or over), brittle hair, dizziness, hair loss, inflammation of the tissues of the mouth; slowed mental reactions, and white spots (dots) in the fingernails.

The African and African-American (or melanated) female requires more Iron than any other race or ethnicity of female. Iron is one of two nutrients that are imperative that African (melanated) women in the Diaspora consume and get adequate amounts of, the other nutrient being Dietary Thiocyanate.

These two nutrients supra are very important, especially if sickle cell and/or anemia (Iron-deficiency) are experienced. Both of these adverse conditions are endemic to Africans in America and African-Americans. However, more than 90% of American females in general are reported to be anemic and I can most certainly believe this due to knowing what the average American eats coupled with the fact that most menstruating American females are bleeding far too long during their menses.

Following is a scale to help you measure where you are health-wise as a female pertaining to your menstrual cycle:

0 days of menstruation = Excellent

1-2 days of menstruation = Good

2-3 days of menstruation = Normal

3-4 days of menstruation = Borderline normal

5-7 days menstruation = Cause for concern (unhealthy)

7 days or more = Dangerous!

By all means avoid at all costs synthetic forms of Iron, also known as pharmaceutical grade as they are TOXIC! The simple fact that they cause constipation (especially in females) should be sign enough that this form of Iron should be avoided. If a thing harms you, it's no good for you and you shouldn't be taking (consuming) it. Period!

Pharmaceutical grades of Iron are derived from oxides (metals and stones). They are poisonous and that's why they come with a dosage amount on the bottle. You only deal with dosage when you are dealing with that which is unnatural. Dosage is irrelevant when you're dealing with food. However, high dosages of synthetic Iron can be fatal.

Pertaining to synthetic Iron, the medical imps of the Matrix who gave us the RDA (Recommended Daily Allowance) chart recommends only 15 mg of the mineral daily. You only have to be under physician supervision when you are unwisely consuming synthetic Iron (inorganic Iron).

Medical supervision is not necessary when you wisely consume organic Iron (botanical iron), the kind of Iron the human body requires and can digest, absorb, and assimilate.

Pregnant females should NEVER take synthetic or pharmaceutical grades of Iron. Doing so will surely cause harm to both mother and developing baby. Remember, inorganic Iron is toxic!

Inorganic forms of Iron include: Ferrocholinate, Ferrous Fumerate, Ferrous Gluconate, Ferrous Sulfate, Iron-dextran, and Iron Oxide.

Natural food sources of Iron (botanical Iron) include: Green leafy vegetables, e.g. Parsley, Spinach, Watercress, etc.; almonds, beets, avocados, dates, kidney and lima beans, lentils, millet, peaches, pears, pumpkin, dried prunes, blackstrap molasses, raisins, wheat bran, and sesame seeds.

Herbs that contain Iron (organic) include: Red Raspberry Leaves, Moringa Seed, Devil's Claw, Mullein Leaves, Burdock Root, Dandelion Root, Yellow Dock Root (highest natural source), Dong Quai, Alfalfa, Nettle, Chickweed, Horsetail, and Eyebright to name a few.

Seaweeds are also exceptional sources of organic, dietary Iron. Good seaweeds to consume for Iron purposes include: Kelp, Dulse, Spirulina, Irish Moss, Chlorella, and Blue-Green Algae.

Dherbs.com products and compounds that contain natural (organic) Iron (botanical Iron) include: Iron Phosphate, Iron Extract, Blood and Lymphatic Formula, Vitamin C Formula(and Extract), Electric Greens Cell Food; Blood and Lymphatic Tea, Iron Phosphate Tea, and Moon Cycle Formula.

Dherbs.com also offers a Children's Iron Extract that is a liquid form of Iron Phosphate that is safe for babies, toddlers, and small children to take in addition to teenagers, young adults and adults, and elderly people.

Other sources of Iron include gemstones of Hematite, Malachite, and Iron Pyrite.

Gemstones of Hematite, Androdite, and Chlorite assist in the assimilation of organic Iron in the body.

These named gemstones above can also be used to make elixirs of Iron, however, they should not be placed directly into the water (especially Malachite) but should be placed in a separate container (small glass container) and placed within a bowl or large container of water. This is the indirect way to make elixirs (where the crystal or gemstones does not touch the elixir water because they are toxic in their solid state but emit beneficial vibrations that are recorded into the water).

If you think you can't take Iron supplements at all because doctors have prescribed the wrong kind of iron to you (in the past), think or guess again. Dherbs.com Iron Phosphate (botanical Iron) is a godsend of a natural Iron supplement. Just reference a few of the testimonials from people who have taken the product:

"I had been feeling extremely tired and finally went to the naturopath. She ran a blood test and we found my iron was down to 23 (norm range according to western medical dr.'s is 35-175). She started me on Iron supplements but guess what? I started getting constipated! Wasn't going to have any of that so I turned to DHERBS to see what was here. I have been taking the Iron Phosphate for 1 month now. I don't feel as tired and am surely not constipated from it. Much better than 'what the doctor ordered." Date Traci K.

"I had to take an iron supplement while I was pregnant with my 3rd child. I can say that this product (Iron Phosphate) really improved my iron levels; even my Doctor noticed the difference. I had more energy as well after taking the pills. I was not constipated. This product really delivers. It is safe and effective during pregnancy." Keisha Y.

"My wife is anemic and when she has her personal monthly moments she feels weak with no energy. The doctor PRESCRIBED her medications; it made her feel nauseated. I suggested using Dherbs iron [Iron Phosphate] and she no longer feels the way she felt taking TOXIC meds. The reason I give it 4stars instead of 5 is she is scheduled to go to the doctor and have her blood count checked. We are expecting good news. Will follow up with results." Harrelle F.

"The Iron Phosphate is the best supplement formula to take. I was anemic till I started taking this product daily and it has increased my energy levels, I am no longer sluggish and guess what? I don't depend on beef or chicken liver to replace the iron any longer. That was all a myth that was passed from generations within my family. As long as you change your diet and take the Iron Phosphate, you are good to go. Guaranteed!" Elizabeth R.

"My Iron has improved since taking this product (Iron Phosphate). The best results I've gotten in years. I was taking Iron pills from my doctor, but never had improvements like this. I know my points will be much higher by taking the Iron Phosphate and eating the right food." Ali P.

"I have been taking the product for about 6 months (I have been taking it almost daily) and I have noticed an increase in my energy. I no longer feel tired all the time and I can get by on less sleep. I love the fact that these products are all natural and I do not intend to ever use any other Iron product. Excellent product." Sheena D.

"I am so pleased with the results after taking Iron Phosphate. I took it for 2 months and my iron level is back to normal. I suffered for many years with shortness of breath and no energy. I went to the Doctor and he wanted to give me a blood transfusion because he said that my iron level was severely low. I refused to take one. I had been ordering different herbs from this web site so I decided to try the Iron Phosphate and I am so glad I did. Thank you Dherbs, your products are number one!" Valerie B.

"Finally an iron supplement that is gentle on the stomach and doesn't cause constipation! I recommend it to anyone who has had trouble taking traditional iron pills in the past. Thanks!" Danielle F.

"I have been using Iron Phosphate for a while, I suffer from high anemia caused by fibroids. Though it is too early to tell, I find dherbs iron supplement [Iron Phosphate] non-constipating and very easy to swallow. The herbal formula of the supplement agrees with me. I do not throw up like I did with other iron supplements. Keep up the Good Work!" Garolyn J.

"I would like to thank Dherbs for this Iron Phosphate product and how amazingly fast it began to work. I suffered with anemia severely - always cold; but now that has stopped, I find myself with more energy and my abdominal cramping has stopped." Lanodra M.

"My Name is Carolene. I purchased the Female Breast Oil and the Iron Phosphate. The oil has definitely helped my fibrostic breast. Also helps in the relief of PMS. The Iron [Phosphate] is excellent; I have really had good energy, have stopped eating ice, iron levels are balanced etc. Both products are great!" Carolene M.

"I was anemic and tired with cold hands. After taking this iron supplement [Iron Phosphate], my color has returned and my hands are less cold. The best thing is that this iron does not cause any constipation. Thanks!" Aszure J.

These testimonials (all from females) are the result of these individuals taking the RIGHT KIND of Iron - organic Iron (botanical Iron), which Iron Phosphate is.

Dherbs.com Iron Phosphate (botanical Iron) is 100% plant-based and thus 100% absorbable and absolutely does not cause constipation like pharmaceutical grade Iron supplements.

Pharmaceutical grade Iron supplements are the cause of constipation and the bloated feeling in pregnant women (as well as non-pregnant women).

Pharmaceutical companies mix inorganic iron with inorganic sulfur. The injurious effects of inorganic mineral sulfur however, is caused by its affinity for iron and also its destruction of ferments and enzymes, and by its generation of sulfurous and sulfuric acids within the organism. It steals the iron from food and blood, forming Sulphide of Iron which constipates and dries up the several secretions of the digestive tract. It also steals nascent hydrogen from the fluids and tissues forming Sulphuranhydride or Sulphureted Hydrogen.

Women reading this (article), this is the cause of the foul smelling gas you expel and have been revolted at, which is always given off by decaying organic matter, animal and vegetable. It is the smell of rotten eggs, putrid sores, fecal matter, and decaying flesh. Your doctor and his or her sidekick or road dog (pharmacist) are partially responsible for this. You're also partially responsible for taking the synthetic Iron supplements.

But now today, you have no excuse because you know better, and like what is said: "You can't do better until you know better."

Thank you for reading!
