High Cholesterol

High cholesterol results from one thing - DIET, diet in general, poor diet in particular.

There is only one source that causes elevated cholesterol levels in the human body and that source derives from the eating of DEAD ANIMAL FLESH, euphemistically called "meat" e.g. bacon, pork chops, pastrami, bologna, salami, chicken, turkey, wieners (hot dogs), steak, hamburger, turkey, fish, ham, ham hock, neck bone, chitterlings, sausage, lamb chops, etc.

Liquid meat, a/k/a dairy (liquefied cow snot/mucus/pus) also contains cholesterol and elevates human cholesterol levels.

The human body produces its own cholesterol but when the human is delusional and begins to think it is a carnivore and starts eating animal cadaver (meat), it takes in the cholesterol of the deceased animal and throws off its own cholesterol levels which greatly threatens health and also proves quite fatal in many instances.

What is cholesterol? Cholesterol is a crystalline substance found naturally in the body that is technically classified as a steroid, but also classified as a lipid due to being soluble in fats rather than water. It is naturally found in the blood, brain, nerves, and liver of humans and animals. Cholesterol is also found in bile, which is produced in the liver and stored in and released from the gallbladder.

Cholesterol enters into the bloodstream from the liver, which manufactures about eighty percent of total body cholesterol. The other twenty percent of cholesterol is derived from dietary sources, animal products to be exact or specific.

The tissues of the body receive cholesterol by a means of protein molecules known as "lipo-proteins."

The cells of the body take what they need form the lipo-proteins and any excess of lip-proteins remains in the bloodstream until other lipo-proteins pick it up for transport back to the liver.

In regards to lipo-proteins, there are two classifications of them: LDLs (low density lipo-proteins), considered the "bad cholesterol," and HDLs (high density lipo-proteins), considered the "good cholesterol."

The difference in the two lipo-proteins is that LDLs are heavily saturated with cholesterol, which transports cholesterol to all the cells of the body from the liver, and HDLs carry very little cholesterol, which circulates in the bloodstream and collects excess cholesterol from the blood and tissues and return it to the liver, which greatly helps the body.

Excess cholesterol forms plaque (arterial plaque) that sticks to the walls of the arteries and leads to heart disease, the number one killer of Americans.

In my late teens, I used to experience serious sporadic heart pains (murmurs), which I thought was hereditary because I used to always hear my father talking about (in almost proud fashion) how heart problems ran in the family on the paternal side of my family (the Coopers).

Little did I know that I was experiencing those painful heart murmurs due to my diet, what I was eating and eating too much of at that pivotal time in my life which was a lot of meat from eating a lot of junk and fast food. I thought I was living the life back then eating what ever and when ever I wanted to and from where ever I wanted to eat from which was usually McDonalds, Burger King, Jack-in-the-Box, Pioneer Chicken, Golden Bird Chicken, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Sizzler, and a local spot called Tams located at 135th Street and Avalon near the border of the cities Los Angeles and Compton.

This fast food binging was quietly and slowly killing me and I didn't have a clue. Luckily, my body began speaking to me via pains and various sicknesses and diseases which in early 1990 prompted me to go get a physical at a local medical clinic which really played a role in me becoming health conscious due to what I personally witnessed from that physical checkup, the last one I ever got. I witnessed my cholesterol level and was blown away at my triglyceride levels. I could see thick white foam floating at the top of my blood in a clear tube. I couldn't believe that was in my body and blood. My mind took a mental picture of that clear tube and wouldn't let me forget it.

I am glad that I took action back then and began taking steps to improve my diet and health. As my frequency switched to that of health consciousness, I began attracting all the necessary information (via books and audio) that supported the steps I was taking in becoming health conscious, steps that led me to where I am today.

Becoming health conscious eventually led me to becoming vegetarian (for one year, 1997) and subsequently vegan and partial raw foodist (which is where I have been since 1998).

High cholesterol leads to various diseases such as arterial sclerosis, heart disease (and heart attack), impotence, high blood pressure, colon polyps, cancer, and gallstones to name a few. High cholesterol is epidemic amongst Americans.

Healing High Cholesterol Naturally

Diet. The first step in addressing high cholesterol in order to reverse it is to modify your diet and totally eradicate all animal and animal by-products, e.g. meat and dairy products from your diet. You can only have high cholesterol from eating meat and dairy products. This is an established medical fact!

Switching to and embracing a vegan diet and lifestyle is a sure shot guarantee to reducing high cholesterol levels.

I must also state that one should eliminate and avoid consumption of all saturated fats and sugar (unnatural, man-made ones). Alcohol (including wine) should also be avoided as it raises the level of natural cholesterol in the body and many vegans today still like to consume alcohol, especially wine.

Exercise. Exercise and movement of the body in general is great for circulation (of the blood and lymph fluid), which is even better when the diet is healthy (e.g., vegan, raw foods). Salubrious exercises such as yoga, tai'chi, qi chong, pilates, stretching, and swimming are better for the body than strenuous exercises such as running, jogging, weight lifting, etc. which can be very insalubrious in the long run.

Herbs that help to reduce and eliminate excess or high cholesterol levels include: Devil's Claw, Guggal Gum, Calamus, Fenugreeek Seed, Hawthorn Berry, Garlic, Turmeric, Bupleurem, Thyme, Cayenne, Glucommanan, Black Seed, Artichoke, Dandelion Root, Speedwell, Yarrow, Fennel Seed, Black Cohosh, Lady's Slipper, Reishi and Shitake (mushrooms).

Fiber herbs such as Psyllium Husk, Oat bran, Guar Gum, Pamita, and Apple Pectin are also great in reducing elevated cholesterol levels in addition to healing and preventing arterial sclerosis as fiber sweeps and cleans the artery walls.

Olive oil can also be used to help lower elevated cholesterol levels and eliminate gallstones from the body.
