SKUNK BREATH (Halitosis)

Halitosis originates from the colon. The mouth is an indicator of the colon - the smell of the mouth and the color of the tongue. If your tongue has a white coating or layer on it, your colon is greatly compacted and impaired. The tongue has a natural pink color, just like a newborn baby has before it is fed formula milk by the insane mother (and/or father).

Causes and Risk Factors

One of the greatest downsides of the carnivorous, meat-based diet is halitosis. Eating high amounts of meat (dead, slaughtered animal flesh), dairy products (cow snot and pus), refined grains; and refined, complex starches play pivotal roles in skunk breath.

Poor dental hygiene, i.e., gum disease, tooth decay, and plaque, contribute to halitosis, but it starts with the diet.

But in attempting to mask or even fight the halitosis problem, we are causing harm to our bodies. Mouthwash contains ALCOHOL, which is known to cause throat cancer. The same applies to plaque solutions. Commercial mouthwashes may contain petroleum-based dyes such as blue lake and red lake. Many brands also contain artificial sweeteners such as saccharine and aspartame.

Eradicating Halitosis

The greatest thing you can do to eradicate skunk breath is to radically change your diet. Switch to a mostly raw foods and vegan-vegetarian diet consisting mainly of cruciferous green vegetables. Green equals chlorophyll, a natural breath freshener.

Three natural breath fresheners are:

  • Parsley
  • Cilantro
  • Mint

Other greens that can help eradicate halitosis are:
  • Alfalfa
  • Barley grass
  • Wheat grass
  • Spinach
  • Drinking aromatic herbal teas such as ginger, cardamom, peppermint, anise, caraway and cinnamon after meals can help, too.

Cleaning the colon is imperative. Good colon-cleansing herbs that will evacuate the bowels include:
  • Cascara Sagrada
  • Senn Leaves and pods
  • Aloe Vera resin
  • Rhubarb
  • Buckthorn
  • Bilwa
  • Bibitaki
  • Trifala

Colonics and enemas are also great methods and procedures for cleansing the colon and rectum. Colonics can be performed every three to six months and enemas can be performed on a more regular basis, i.e. weekly or bi-weekly.

Tongue cleaners are great for oral hygiene and eradicating skunk breath. Once you get over the gagging process, it'll work like a charm. However, you should only go over the tongue with the cleaner 2-3 times as excessive use can cause tongue pain (which doesn't feel good). You'll be amazed at the amount of filmy bacteria saturated in your tongue. While bacteria are not the cause of halitosis, they most certainly play a role in it. The ideal tongue cleaner should be made of stainless steel or gold.

Yoga/deep breathing can also help counteract halitosis. When you breathe, you are taking oxygen into the body and oxygen is Nature's purifier.

Chewing on certain sticks and twigs, such as MISWAK (PEELU), LICORICE, and NEEM are ideal in keeping the breath fresh and the mouth clean. These sticks and twigs are antimicrobial, antibacterial, antiviral, and antibiotic.

Peelu tooth fibers (sold at health food stores) can help to remove plaque from the teeth (enamel). It will also help to freshen the breath and kill negative (or harmful) bacteria in the mouth.

The herbs GOLDENSEAL, MYRRH, and BAYBERRY can also help to remove plaque, kill negative bacteria, help heal oral herpes and mouth sores (which can be quite painful), and help gum bleeding diseases.

Chewing on raw pieces of CARDAMOM, CLOVE, CINNAMON and/or NUTMEG can help freshen the breath and fight oral bacterial conditions. Essential oil of Clove can be applied to a toothache for temporary relief of a toothache.
