The Common Cold

There is nothing common about the so-called "common cold" except our mass or collective belief in it, the term that is. Believing in the term "common cold" automatically brings about the result - sick and bedridden. The result always manifests at a time the body speaks through metaphor which is by breaking down (becoming sick; weakening of the immune system). Yes, sickness and disease is a language. Sickness and disease always conveys a message.

When I was unconscious, especially health unconscious, I believed in the "common cold" and as a result, I always "caught" a cold. I used to really believe that you could "catch" a cold. Ponder over this for a moment; the medical establishment has us believing that we can catch a "cold." You can catch a cold? Well, if you can catch a cold and have caught a cold (numerous of times in the past) as I'm quite sure you'll attest to, how many times have you caught a "warm," or a "hot"? Do you know of anyone who has ever caught a "warm" or a "hot"?

You see, people get sick because they believe in getting sick, they see other people getting sick, and most importantly, they are afraid of getting sick and because we attract what we fear via the Law of Attraction, we attract circumstances, people, and events into our lives that help to make us the thing we fear - SICK or SICKNESS!

Only we can make ourselves sick. You can only get sick or contract a certain disease only if you believe in sickness and the possibility of contracting a certain disease.

And then we have a situation whereby we don't listen to ourselves via the mind so the body takes over for the brain (or mind) and conveys the message we missed mentally and intuitively, physically. And our Masters (in the medical field) have labeled this particular body language SICKNESS and we bought it hook, line, and sinker and have been slaves and whores to the American Medical Cartel ever since via our free will (choice).

Today and for many past years, I don't believe in the so-called "common cold." And do you know what? I haven't had or "caught" a cold since I stopped believing in this nonsense. That's right! My whole childhood, teen years, and early adult life was beleaguered with the so-called "common cold," but when I became spiritually conscious (aware) which eventually led to health consciousness which inspired me to give up meat and dairy products (and a whole bunch of other no-good stuff) and become a strict vegan-vegetarian, sickness in general began to disappear and the common cold in particular began to disappear.

And you know what? I don't miss being a "common cold" victim (participant). I don't miss lying in the bed feeling fatigued, having a runny nose, having watery eyes, only being able to partially breathe out of one nostril, not being able to taste my food, etc. And I especially don't miss taking all those harmful pharmaceutical drugs such as aspirin, Actifed, Nyquil, and Advil that greatly taxed my poor liver as well as every other organ of my body and precious bodily fluids called blood and lymph. Health consciousness, veganism and raw food-ism have greatly improved my life beyond my wildest imagination. I never knew life could be this great. Truly, health is the indisputable foundation for happiness.

So if there is no common cold, what's happening to me or my body when I'm allegedly sick and down with the so-called common cold? That's easy! You are experiencing your Body Intelligence because mentally you are not there, you don't get the message of your mind and intuition. You ignore the symptoms (messages) via mind and intuitive faculty so the symptoms speak to you physically. As light-worker and author R. Neville Johnston correctly states, "The common cold is a vacation from life that we force the body to take. The body has taken over for the brain. We all require occasional "down time." In other words, the cold is three days where you are very kind to yourself."

The above is so very true!

The so-called common cold forces us to take the necessary 3-day vacation our mind would not allow us to take. The body is saying rest but the mind is saying WORK, WORK, WORK!

Many of us have a guilt-complex when we take off from work. We can really be sick and while at home lying in the bed we'll start thinking about our jobs and work and begin feeling guilty (that we are not there performing our individual task). I know I was in this category. There were days I'd call in sick only to call back to the job an hour or two later to notify the job that I was coming in after all because I felt better. This wasn't true! I was psyching myself up to go in to work out of a feeling of guilt. Even though we were given 5-days sick leave with pay, I'd still feel guilty if I called in sick for work. Clearly I had a psychological link with my job which was clearly predicated upon poverty consciousness and the illusion of job security.

Getting back to the gist of this article, I remember my corporate America days when I'd be running all around the city for my job going to various insurance companies and law firms and then after work traveling all over the city of Los Angeles doing the things I wanted to do, mainly frequenting the Bodhi Tree metaphysical bookstore and browsing around for books, but only to experience my eyes becoming watery and having the sniffles (runny nose).

One day I put it together that my so-called "common cold" always came as the result of myself ripping and running around nonstop, not giving my body a chance to rest. Our physical body really does need time to rest from all the strenuous, tedious, and laborious work it performs day in and day out.

Though many of us work like horses for our jobs, we seldom give our bodies the necessary nutrients (i.e. vitamins and minerals) it requires for optimum performance, health, and well-being. Then we wonder why our defense or so-called immune system breaks down or gets weak.

In conclusion, the so-called common cold is a message to us that our body (and mind too) needs to rest for purposes of recuperation and repair. In today's world (especially in the Western world) we are seriously doing (working) too much. This is why people come home from work stressed, fatigued, tired as hell, burnt out, and frustrated.

Many people forget to leave work at work and instead bring it home with them. These people identify with their work and job. They become one with their job and/or position. I had an ex-girlfriend like this. It was pretty frightening.

HEALING THE COMMON COLD NATURALLY
